Product details

Tuff tiles are the practical choice where a surface needs to look finished and take foot traffic, but does not need to carry vehicles. Footpaths, terraces, rooftop surfaces, courtyards, garden paths and walkways around a building all suit them well. Because the tiles are flat rather than interlocking, they lay fast over a properly prepared bed.

The moulded pattern is not only decorative. The raised bands and dotted texturing break up the surface so it holds grip when wet, which matters on a terrace or rooftop that sees rain, or on a footpath that gets washed down. A smooth concrete surface in the same position becomes slippery.

At 304 x 304 mm, each tile covers precisely one square foot. Estimating quantity is direct: measure the area in square feet and that is your tile count, before allowance for cutting and wastage at edges and corners.

The cost advantage is real. At 1 inch, a tuff tile uses far less material than a 60 mm interlocking block, which brings the rate per square foot down considerably. Across a large terrace or a long footpath run, that difference adds up.

What matters is using them in the right place. At 1 inch thick and 1500 to 2000 PSI, these tiles are specified for pedestrian and light use. They are not suitable for driveways, parking bays or any area where vehicles run or park, where the correct specification is a 60 mm interlocking paver. We will tell you which one your job needs before quoting rather than after.

Grey is the standard option. Red is used for borders, contrast banding and patterned layouts across larger areas.
